George Rogers Head2Home event raises £5000!

Land & Wave want to say a HUGE congratulations to George Rogers who has raised £5000 in his incredible fundraising event.

The determined 14-year-old completed a gruelling 13.1 mile course from Hengistbury Head to Upton, Poole using a wheelchair, kayak, walking frame & handcycle. What a hero!

Land & Wave are major sponsors for George and leapt at the chance to help him train for the kayak section of his event.

George had a fantastic crowd of supporters who followed his journey – you may have seen the sea of Land & Wave t-shirts & blue balloons across Poole on Saturday. Many thanks to the Sandbanks Hotel who kindly allowed us to use La Mer room for the mid-way point for the event.

The event was a great success, with coverage by BBC South Today, Bournemouth Echo, Wave 105 & Heart fm. George has proven himself to be an excellent sportsman, fundraiser & TV personality! You can still sponsor George at Head2home.com.
